Craftsman Revival
This original Craftsman arrived full of character — remarkable original details that told the story of the home's history and demanded to be honored. The real challenge, however, was deeper than preservation alone: to take a worn and neglected structure and transform it into a home where every finish, fixture, and design choice felt as though it had always belonged to the architecture. It was a tall task, and one we embraced fully.
Months of careful restoration were dedicated to ensuring the integrity of the original details was maintained without compromise. Alongside that work, the home was thoughtfully expanded from two bedrooms and one bath to a more livable three-bedroom, two-bath layout. Opening the kitchen to the dining area created an effortless flow from the front garden through to the back — both of which were landscaped with lush native plantings and considered hardscaping.
The design thread woven throughout was green — rich, calming, and endlessly versatile. We explored the full depth of the palette, layering multiple shades and finishes to bring warmth and cohesion to every room. Period-appropriate fixtures and finishes were introduced to modernize the home while staying in genuine conversation with its Craftsman roots. The result is a home that feels both elevated and inevitable — as if it could never have looked any other way.
