Spanish Art Deco

Impossible to replicate — stained glass windows casting colored light across original floors, a clay tile roof weathered beautifully by decades of California sun, and decorative arch detailing woven throughout the architecture. These elements were not simply preserved — they became the driving force behind every design decision, paving the way for an aesthetic that is at once deeply rooted and distinctly elevated.

The exterior underwent a considered hardscaping overhaul, with concrete facades clad in flagstone and a lush Mediterranean garden established across both the front and rear of the property. The result is an exterior that now lives in genuine harmony with the home's Spanish heritage.

Inside, the transformation was equally ambitious. The original kitchen suffered from low, oppressive ceilings that diminished what was otherwise a generous long space. By lifting the ceiling height, we unlocked the room's true potential — opening it into a luxurious, light-filled environment made for both cooking and entertaining. A once dark and enclosed bar was reimagined as a beautiful office space, its walls opened to reveal and embrace the Mediterranean landscape beyond.

The bathrooms were a complete reinvention. The primary suite, formerly a fully tiled pink room with dated fixtures, was transformed into a spa-like sanctuary — refined and indulgent, featuring a stone-encased front vanity with custom drawer detailing and high-end fixtures throughout. Each bathroom across the home made a similar journey, moving from dated pink porcelain to spaces of subtle sophistication and quiet luxury.

The finished home is a testament to what becomes possible when original architecture is truly listened to — a residence that honors its 1930s soul while inhabiting a new standard of modern, classic luxury.
